So on festive seasons no dieting , just we want to eat varieties of homemade or purchased sweets . But I know that Gujiya is very common sweet in every Indian festivals , which is traditionally made by khoya and coconut . But here I did some variation with filling , just some experiment . I hope you would love this little experiment with Gujia .

Salt to taste
Water (as required)

For filling :

1 1/2 cup of Khoya ( I used homemade Khoya of 1lt  milk)
Some chopped dry fruits
1/2 cup of  Desiccated Coconut
Sugar to taste
Cardamom powder/ Orange Zest

Oil to fry

Method :

For Dough :

Mix all the ingredients and kneed it with water . Do not knead it too much just mix it lightly . And keep it in rest for 30 minute .

For filling :

Heat a pan and mix khoya, sugar, desiccated coconut ,cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits.

In another pan take butter ,chocolate chips and milk, melt it .

Now add khoya mixture .

Let it cool for some time. Keep it in refrigerator for 30 -45 min.

Now make a small ball from the dough , roll it and fill the stuffing.

Fold it and press the sides.

In a wok put oil , heat it ( do not heat too much ).Deep fry Gujiya on low flame until it becomes light brown.

Eat hot-hot Gujia , you'll get melting chocolate and crispy outer cover.
